The First Unitarian Church of Memphis (Church of the River) has had presence on the World Wide Web for approximately eight years. Designed and maintained as a community service by a church member, the purpose of this web site is to provide a repository of church-related information and an opportunity for those interested in Unitarian Universalism to explore our church in Memphis, Tennessee. Content development is collaborated through periodic board and committee meetings. Ongoing communication is maintained so that all information on the web site is approved.

What is the source of the information?
The church provided a variety of literature. Church board members reviewed the materials and requested that specific information be compiled and presented on the web site.
Who approves what goes on this web site?
When developing or revising the web site, approval to include specific information comes from board members, the Minister, and members of the church who represent various areas of church life.
Why is there not a chat room?
In an ongoing effort to remain a secured web site that requires relatively low maintenance and supervision, a chat room is not a preferred area at this time.

weekly, depending on current church events, the time of year, and ongoing communication. The web site is a virtual voice, a way to announce news and to share information.
