The new church year is almost here, and registration for Children and Youth Faith Development is now open!
This year, all of our children and youth will explore the same monthly worship themes in ways designed specifically for their ages and stages of spiritual development.
From the stories and wonder of Spirit Play to the questions and leadership of Spirit Quest, our programs form an intentional path that grows alongside our young people.

Sunday Morning Schedule
- 9:30 - 12:15 pm Nursery Open
- 10 - 10:55am: First Hour Programs - Faith Development For All Ages
- Spirit Play (PreK-2nd grade) meets in the Yellow Room
- Spirit Jam (3rd-5th grade) meets in the Red Room
- Adult Faith Development Offerings
- Inquirer's Series will start back again in October in the Green Room
- Various Rotating offerings will meet in the Chalice Room - watch the weekly newsletter for more details
- 10am - 12pm: Spirit Quest (6th-12th grade youth group) Meets in the Blue Room
- 11:00 am: Worship, with Spirit Studio following the Time for All Ages

Our early elementary children encounter our monthly themes in a Montessori-based setting through story, ritual, spiritual wonder, and play.

|
Like a good jam session, everyone brings something. Children explore our themes through UU theology, conversation, creativity, spiritual practice, and our framework of Doing, Belonging, Becoming, and Making.

Question • Connect • Lead
|
|
Faith becomes something youth explore and begin to claim for themselves. They dig into questions like, Where does this value come from? Why does it matter to Unitarian Universalists?while building community, deepening youth-adult relationships, engaging in service and social action, and growing as leaders.

Spirit Studio offers children another way to participate in Sunday morning through projects, activities, play, and fellowship during the remainder of the worship hour.
|
|
These programs are possible because caring adults choose to walk alongside our children and youth. You do not need to be a teacher or a UU expert. You simply need to care about young people and be willing to help create a space where they feel known, valued, and encouraged to grow.
Most classroom volunteers serve one or two Sundays per month as part of a teaching team, with flexibility for travel and other commitments. Curriculum, supplies, training, and ongoing support are provided.

- Join a Spirit Play or Spirit Jam teaching team
- Serve as a Spirit Quest youth advisor
- Help facilitate Kids Club
- Share a story, spiritual practice, creative skill, or special interest
- Support a service project, social event, or youth outing
- Help behind the scenes with materials and preparation

We’re asking ALL families to fill out our new registration forms this year. Our database is quite out of date, and it’s crucial that we have the most up-to-date information to plan appropriately for classes.

The registration form includes a place to indicate how you might like to volunteer. You can also contact Jessica directly to find the role that best fits your interests and availability.
