The United Nations established September 21 as the International Day of Peace in 1981. Back then, we could not imagine that we would be living in a country whose officials would boast of war crimes, and openly disdain basic human rights. We aren't the UN; we are a religious community of individuals trying to work out how best to live our lives. What could the International Day of Peace mean for us?
